About Excursion Day
The Caribbean Travel Database for cruise and resort travelers.
Excursion Day is a Caribbean travel database that helps cruise and resort travelers plan their day. We bring together cruise ports, resort areas, beaches, excursions, attractions, restaurants, weather, marine conditions, transportation, currency, and local tips — all in one connected place, so you can compare options quickly and arrive informed.
Two modes, one dataset
The Caribbean is visited in two very different ways. Cruise travelers have a few hours ashore and need to choose smart, port-adjacent options. Resort travelers stay longer and care about the surrounding region — neighborhoods, day trips, and local favorites. Excursion Day has a Cruise mode and a Resort mode, both built on the same underlying travel database so the data stays consistent and cross-linked.
Where the data comes from
We compile information from reputable open sources and credit them clearly:
- OpenStreetMap contributors for places, beaches, restaurants, and transport (ODbL).
- Wikivoyage and Wikipedia for destination descriptions (CC BY-SA).
- REST Countries for country metadata.
- Open-Meteo and partner weather/marine APIs for conditions.
Our mission
Travel planning shouldn't mean juggling ten tabs. We're building the most useful, honest, and well-attributed Caribbean travel resource on the web — free to use, continuously enriched, and made for real travelers.
